Ivan, coming from a humble family background, has felt a calling toward priesthood since childhood. His desire to serve God grew through his years as an altar server, where he developed a deeper faith and connection with priests who inspired him to pursue his vocation. Ivan began his journey to priesthood at Kiboota Primary School, a Catholic school in his village, where his love for God and dedication to his faith flourished.
However, despite his calling, financial constraints prevented him from joining a minor seminary after primary school. Ivan’s father, a primary school teacher with limited income, was unable to cover the high tuition costs, especially while supporting Ivan's seven siblings. Instead, Ivan attended a secular school for O-level studies, but he remained steadfast in his hope to one day serve as a priest.
After O-level, Ivan’s father made great sacrifices, including selling his few cows and taking bank loans to fund Ivan’s education at the minor seminary until he completed A-level. Fortunately, Ivan completed his senior six with strong results, but financial challenges remain. His father, who is nearing retirement and has no other stable income, worries about funding Ivan's theological education at the major seminary.
Now, Ivan is prayerfully seeking a benefactor to support his journey toward priesthood. With assistance, he can continue his formation and realize his lifelong dream of serving God and his community as a priest. Any support would be a significant blessing, enabling Ivan to fulfill his vocation and bring hope and guidance to others in his future ministry.
