Paschaline is a bright and intelligent child who loves learning. Her father worked as a civil servant until he lost his job during a period of government “rationalization” in Northern Nigeria, when economic reforms led to cuts in many public service positions.

Since then, Paschaline’s mother has carried most of the financial responsibility for the family through her small petty-trading business. Unfortunately, her income is not enough to cover the family’s basic needs as well as Paschaline’s school expenses.

Paschaline’s father has been seeking support from members of his community so that his daughter can return to school while he continues looking for employment. Her parents are doing everything they can to provide for her, and they hope that, with support, Paschaline will have the opportunity to continue her education and reach her full potential.
