As her name suggests, Joy is a joyful child despite her family's hardships. She is the second oldest of 4 siblings. Her father works as a bicycle repairman and her mother works as a petty trader selling firewood. Lately, they have struggled to earn enough income to afford their childrens school fees.
Joy, her older sister Blessing, and her younger brother Bartholomew were able to be in school for awhile, but work for their parents has become too inconsistent. The family is desperate for help so that their children can continue their education. Joy is a hardworking and smart girl, who would make the most of her time at school.
Her parents recognize the importance of education to secure a better future for their children. They are doing all that they can, but it is simply not enough. They have reached out to CARITAS For Children for support so that their three oldest children, Blessing, Joy, and Bartholomew can return to school.
With sponsorship, Joy will be able to attend school without fear, and have the opportunity to learn and grow.
