Joseph Ssempebwa
Since the passing of his father, Joseph has lived with his mother, who now supports the family by selling fried chicken in a nearby town. Although she works hard, her income is not enough to cover all their needs—especially school fees.
Joseph is frequently sent home from school due to unpaid balances, causing him to miss valuable class time and fall behind in his studies.
He is a dedicated and hardworking student who dreams of a brighter future. With sponsorship, Joseph can continue his education without interruptions and work toward reaching his full potential.

St. Francis of Assisi (Lugazi)
In the Lugazi Diocese, CARITAS finds some of the poorest families in all of Uganda. Because of St. Francis of Assisi's great love for the poor, he is the patron of this community. We pray for his intercession so that more children in this diocese have a chance to overcome the poverty that they have always known.
