Chris does not know his father. His mother abandoned him with his two sisters some time ago.
The children are now living with their maternal grandmother, who supports herself and her many grandchildren through peasant farming. It is very difficult for her to feed and care for them all, let alone send them to school.
Chris needs a sponsor if he is going to have any chance of continuing his education. He loves to play soccer and dreams of becoming a pilot when he grows up.
