Chikamso Ugwuja comes from a farming family that was forced to flee their home in northern Nigeria after violent attacks by Fulani bandits destroyed their community. Fearing for their safety, his parents made the difficult decision to leave everything behind and relocate to the city of Nsukka in search of security and a fresh start.
The move has brought many challenges. In leaving their home, the family lost their farm, their source of income, and many of the possessions they had worked hard to build over the years. Now in a new community, Chikamso’s parents are working to rebuild their lives, but finding stable employment has been difficult.
As a result, the family struggles to provide for their children’s basic needs, including food, school fees, and educational supplies. Despite these hardships, Chikamso’s parents remain determined to create a better future for their family and are hopeful that their children will have the opportunity to continue their education.
Support from a sponsor would provide much-needed stability for Chikamso and help ensure that he can remain in school while his family works to rebuild their lives after this difficult displacement.
