Carol Nansamba
Carol’s life changed dramatically after her father tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in 2020. Since then, her mother has worked hard to support the family through small-scale farming, using what she earns to cover the most basic needs.
The family lives in a small one-room home and struggles to meet school requirements. As a result, Carol and her siblings, Ivan and Prossy, have had inconsistent school attendance.
Despite these challenges, Carol remains a focused and hardworking student. With support, she has the potential to complete her education and pursue her dreams.

St. Francis of Assisi (Lugazi)
In the Lugazi Diocese, CARITAS finds some of the poorest families in all of Uganda. Because of St. Francis of Assisi's great love for the poor, he is the patron of this community. We pray for his intercession so that more children in this diocese have a chance to overcome the poverty that they have always known.
