Bricious was only two months old when his father passed away from Malaria in 2018 leaving his mother, his older brother Beznizi, and himself without support. Their mother had been a house wife, and after her husband passed away, she struggled to cope with the responsibility of raising two children on her own. She had to make a difficult decision. After four months, she took Bezinzi and Bricious to their aunt's house and disappeared, leaving the children in her care.
Bricious' aunt, also facing the challenges of being a single mother, selflessly took on the responsibility of caring for her nephews along with her own children. She works hard to make ends meet by selling African pancakes and bananas on the streets of Nkokonjeru trading center, using the income to provide for the family's basic needs. She also engages in manual labor, such as digging in other people's gardens, in exchange for food. While these efforts help the family survive by providing food and meeting immediate medical needs, they are not sufficient to support the children's education.
Education holds the key to a brighter future for Bricious. With the right opportunities and support, he has the potential to become a valuable and self-reliant citizen in the future. However, without assistance, the financial constraints faced by Bricious' aunt make it difficult for him to access the education he deserves. By providing support for Bricious' education, he can gain the knowledge and skills necessary to break free from the cycle of poverty and build a better future for himself and his family. Bricious dreams of being an engineer.
