Angel was born while her mother was still of school age, although at the time she wasn’t attending school because she could no longer afford the tuition. After Angel’s birth, her mother was unable to return to school because she still had no money and was devoting herself to caring for her child. Her father had run away out of fear of being prosecuted, because her mother was only 15 years old. He has not been supporting his child.

Angel and her mother are currently staying with her grandmother who is a peasant and can only grow enough food to feed the family. Angel’s mother recently joined a village program run by an organization directed towards young uneducated mothers so that she can acquire some skills that will help her earn a living. We can support her by giving Angel an opportunity to go to Day School.
