Patience lost her second sponsor two years ago and badly needs a new one so she can stay in boarding school and receive the care she needs, which she cannot get at home.
Patience lives with her parents who are both peasant farmers. They grow food for home consumption, but the little extra they are able to grow is sold to provide for other needs like clothes, possible medical care, etc but not able to pay for their school fees.
Before Patience was sponsored at boarding school, she had to walk for a long time every day to attend school since she lived so far from the better schools within Nkokonjeru. Because she was so young, she needed to go to boarding school so that she would not have to make those long walks, which were potentially dangerous for a little girl.
Patience is a committed child, disciplined and academically very strong.
To help Patience go to boarding school, she will need $150/month from one sponsor or $75/month from two sponsors.
